A COUNCILLOR has helped his constituents by clearing up a tree after Storm Doris brought it down.
Basildon UKIP councillor for Nethermayne Stephen Hodge discovered the tree that was blocking the bridleway in Lee Chapel South after the storm ripped through the country.
He quickly got to work with a hack saw and set to work clearing it so that the people are use the popular bridleway could get through.
South Essex was battered by Storm Doris when it hit on Thursday.
Trees were brought down blocking roads, and there were a number of power cuts as the storm battered the country.
The fire service were called to a whopping 120 weather related incidents that day due to the storm.
