POLICE carried out two simultaneous drugs raids thanks to information from members of the public.
The operation took place in Little Lullaway, Basildon, just before 10am on Friday.
PC Samantha Wayland, of Basildon community policing team (CPT), said: “The warrants were conducted at two addresses on Little Lullaway, Basildon. They were conducted simultaneously at 9.47am.
“Basildon CPT conducted this with the assistance of OSG (Operation Support Group) who gained entry to both addresses.
“There was a positive disposal at one of the addresses and we were acting on information that had been passed to us by members of the community.”
She had earlier tweeted: “2 warrants conducted in #basildon today, @BasildonCPT will continue to act on all information passed to us!”
A spokesman for the police said: "Essex Police, acting on intelligence, executed two warrants at two properties in Little Lullaway, Basildon on Friday February 24.
"One person was issued with a cannabis warning."
