A MAN has denied carrying out an arson attack on a mobile police station, which was parked in a street to provide reassurance to residents.
Unemployed Dwayne Curtis, 46, of Heygate Avenue, Southend, appeared at Southend Magistrates’ Court charged with arson and offering to supply cannabis.
The alleged incidents took place in York Road, Southend, on October 30.
The mobile police station had been parked in the street just days after a double stabbing in a bid to reassure worried residents.
No officers were inside the vehicle when the blaze was started.
Curtis pleaded not guilty to both charges and will next appear at Basildon Crown Court on March 27.
