Man charged over stabbing incident
A MAN has been charged over a stabbing that happened in the early hours of the morning.
Police are investigating an assault in Lucy Road, Southend, where a 20 year-old man was injured just after 4am on Saturday.
The victim suffered a minor stab wound to the stomach and a serious eye injury.
George Facey-Smith, 21, of Denton Avenue, Westcliff was arrested on Sunday on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm (GBH).
He has been charged with GBH and is due to appear at Southend Magistrates’ Court today.
