YOUNGSTERS got the chance to have fun and dress up to learn about history.
Saint Pierre School, in Leigh Road, Leigh, celebrated St David’s Day in the nursery with a dress-up session and some other activities.
The youngsters got the chance to discuss a traditional St David’s Day in Wales.
The work tied in with the study of British Values in the National Curriculum.
School director, Kurt Davies, said: “Two thirds of our senior management team are Welsh, so they were especially delighted to see so many of the young children enjoying the festivities!”
