A MAN was airlifted to hospital after a crash in Colchester town centre.
The East of England Ambulance Service said it was contacted at 12.19pm today to reports of the road crash in Stanwell Street.
An air ambulance was landed at nearby St Botolph's Priory.
A spokesman added: βAn ambulance crew, a rapid response vehicle, an ambulance officer and an air ambulance from the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance Trust (EHAAT) was dispatched to the scene to help.
"After assessment at the scene, a man believed to be in his 50s, was flown to Broomfield Hospital for treatment for suspected fractured ankle.β
