A TEENAGER was spared jail after he admitted carrying out a sustained assault against another man.
Nathan Burton, 19, of Warwick Road, Rayleigh, admitted that he caused actual bodily harm after having a fight with another man in Southend on October 8 last year.
Southend Magistrates’ Court handed him an eight week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months.
The victim was left with concussion.
Burton was ordered to pay £1,000 in compensation and carry out 150 hours of unpaid work.
