AN Essex County Council social worker faces allegations of failing to properly document cases involving five different families or individual children.

Linda Anderson will go before the Health and Care Professions Council in London on Monday.

The allegations relate to Mrs Anderson’s employment at the council between June 2013 and February 2015. Mrs Anderson is said to have not visited a child in line with a Child Protection Plan and didn’t complete an appropriate risk assessment regarding the child’s parents.

She also allegedly did not update chronologies or case summaries for members of another family and identify main carers.

Ms Anderson is also accused of failing to review correct protection plans and subsequently making inappropriate recommendations which didn’t reflect the families’ needs.

The day-long hearing could determine Mrs Anderson’s misconduct or lack of competence means she should not practice at all, or is limited in what she is are allowed to do.
