RUNDOWN: Great Wakering Rovers head into tomorrow’s clash with Waltham Abbey knowing that a defeat will effectively see them drop into the Essex Senior League.
Ware, who are currently one place above the Ryman North relegation zone, are 15 points clear of Wakering with six games to go.
A defeat for Iain O’Connell’s side would result in Wakering needing to win their final five games of the campaign and overturn a goal difference deficit of 41.
Waltham Abbey are in danger themselves, as they are only five points above the bottom three.
MANAGER’S VIEW: Wakering manager Iain O’Connell said: “We are looking ahead to next season now because the damage has already been done unfortunately.
“It is a good chance for me to look at some of the youngsters coming through and see what they can do.
“Charlie Seaden, who is only 17, came on last week and he was probably our best player.”
TEAM NEWS: Charlie Seaden is unavailable due to family commitments.
Jason Ring, who Seaden replaced in the defeat to Haringey Borough last week, will miss out through injury.
