SCHOOLS came together to compete in a design competition.
Chase High School, in Prittlewell Chase, Westcliff, hosted this year’s South East Essex Design Competition.
The competition, now in its 30th year, sees art and technology work from a number of local primary and secondary schools judged by well-known local artists.
Alison Hall, South East Essex Design Competition committee member said it was a great success with a large number of impressive entries this year.
She said: “We have had so many wonderful submissions this year and the variety is what makes this competition unique
“We are very excited about this year’s awards.”
Pupils from each school got the chance to present their work and discuss their creations with a number of judges.
Winners will now be selected and prizes given out at an awards ceremony taking place tonight at Chase High School.
Prizes will be awarded to winning pupils by members of The Leigh Lions Rotary Club, who have kindly sponsored the competition and donated the prize money this year.
