CHRIS Dudman is eager to help Westcliff move up to sixth in the National Three London & SE standings with a win against Shelford this weekend.
Westcliff have triumphed in four of their last five games.
But full-back Dudman insists the team will not be resting on their laurels.
“With only four games left of the season it would be easy for us to say that we are satisfied at this point and roll over but that won’t be happening,” stressed Dudman.
“Our performances and mentality this season have been far superior to recent years and that is going to push us to finish the season strong and to see just how high we can finish.
“Being seventh in the league at this stage is very pleasing but we know we can do better which is why we are going to push ourselves with the remaining games to have one last surge up the table.
“The whole team knows that we are capable of moving up the table so now it is up to us to produce the results.”
Seventh placed Westcliff are currently level on points with sixth placed Shelford.
But Dudman knows the Cambridgeshire club will be difficult to beat at the Gables.
“We are expecting a really tough battle,” said Dudman.
“They definitely possess one of the more physical packs we have come up against this season but that is going to up our game.”
