Conman tricked elderly homeowner and stole three-figure sum of cash
Police have released an image after a conman tricked his way into an elderly person's home and stole a three-figure sum of cash.
The distraction burglary happen on December 6, 2016 when a man told the homeowner he had done work there and needed entry to the property, in Danbury Road, Rochford.
Cash was taken from the home and police would like anyone with information to contact them
A white van with ladders on top is believed to be driven by the suspect.
Anyone with information asked to call Ds Paul Gutteridge at Southend CID on 101 or Crimestoppers.
