MANY 14-year-olds spend their free time playing video games... but Monty Brooks spends his planning a trip to India to help build a school for disadvantaged children.
The Southend High School for Boys pupil clashed with the clippers on Friday in his latest fundraising event, and raised about £1,000 in the process.
Monty, who lives in Benfleet Road, Benfleet, said: “My head feels cold.”
His mum, Lisa Brooks, said: “He looks very handsome and I feel extremely proud of him.
“He arranged all of this by himself.”
In total, the fundraiser saw Monty lose about two inches of hair, prompting donations from friends and family to help him achieve his ambition.
He plans to visit the south of India in 2018, to spend five days helping to build a school with friends.
