THE EASTER holiday fun continues at the Eastgate Shopping Centre today.

The centre in Basildon is holding a fun day for children and adults alike with a pop-up farm, craft workshop, street entertainment and stiltwalkers.

Families are invited to two days of fabulous fun at Eastgate shopping centre’s Easter Extravaganza.

Eastgate will host two days of Easter fun on Wednesday 12 and Thursday 13 April to entertain children and grown-ups alike. Across both days there will be a pop-up farm, craft workshop, street entertainment and stiltwalkers.

Youngsters can see chicks, rabbits, bottle-fed lambs and goats at the pop-up farm. Farming experts will be on hand to chat to youngsters about the animals and answer any questions.

There will be a free craft workshop on both days for children to get creative making Easter items. They will be lots of different things for youngsters to decorate, including animal puppets, tractors, flower badges and fluffy chicks.

On Wednesday 12 there will be street entertainment from Creature Encounter’s Otto the otter and Teddy the fox. The fabulous furry woodland friends will wheel a wooden cart through the crowd meeting shoppers.

On Thursday 13 comedy gardeners Pete and Ged Moss will be doing a star turn, along with their musical wheelbarrow to entertain shoppers with songs, jokes and magic. They will be joined by a pair of stiltwalking bunnies hopping around the centre.

Eastgate shopping centre manager Ian Clark said: “We’re looking forward to two busy days of Easter entertainment. There’s a wide variety of entertainment to appeal to youngsters and shoppers too.

“The farm is always popular and it’s a great way to entertain and educate the youngsters during the holidays, whilst parents can enjoy a spot of retail therapy.”
