FIRE crews were called to tackle a car blaze along a country road.
The car, which was found down Ironwell Lane, in Rochford, was parked underneath a tree.
The fire service received a call just after 5pm on Sunday.
A crew from Rochford Fire Station responded and found it 100 per cent alight when they arrived.
Firefighters worked quickly to extinguish the fire and used breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets to do so.
The fire crew shared a picture on their Facebook showing the damage the car suffered after they had put the flames out.
It is unknown if the car had been abandoned or left there temporarily by its owner before it went up in flames.
