Due to a fault with the signalling system between Southend Victoria and Billericay all lines are closed.
Train services running to and from these stations are suspended. Disruption is expected until 14:00.
The signalling system has failed again between Southend Victoria and Rayleigh, due to an electrical supply fault.
This meant that trains are unable to run as planned between Southend Victoria and Billericay Services between Wickford and Southminster are able to run.
A limited Rail Replacement Bus service has been extended from the planned Billericay/Newbury Park operation to supplement the train service between Southend Victoria and Billericay. A change of buses will be required at Billericay.
Network Rail engineers are working as fast as possible to fix the fault and restore the signalling system.
C2C are conveying passengers via any reasonable route until further notice. Arrangements have been made for Greater Anglia rail tickets to be accepted for these journeys.
