A man has fled the scene after van crashed into another vehicle and a tree, flipping onto its side.
After the incident, which happened at about 3.30pm on Sunday, the driver of white Ford Transit van ran off, leaving a female passenger in the vehicle.
Police, ambulance and fire engines arrived at the scene, as well as the air ambulance.
It is not thought anyone was seriously injured.
An Essex Police spokesman said: "Officers received calls that a white Ford Transit van had a struck an Iveco van and a tree before ending up on its side.
"The driver of the Transit then fled the scene on foot and has not been located.
"A female passenger was spoken to by police at the scene.
"The female driver of the Iveco van was uninjured.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
