WICKFORD residents are invited to attend a public meeting hosted by Essex’s police and crime commissioner.
The meeting will take place on Wednesday, July 12, at the Wick Community Centre, in Silva Island Way, Wickford, from 6.30pm to 8pm.
Crime commissioner Roger Hirst will be joined by his deputy Jane Gardner and Chief Insp Sam Smith, Basildon’s district commander.
Chief Insp Smith will provide updates on a range of police activities including tackling burglaries, antisocial behaviour, drugs and gang crime.
She will also discuss a number of proactive engagement activities by police which have happened in recent months to deliver crime prevention messages to the community
Attendees will also have the chance to ask questions and raise concerns about crime affecting them in their local area.
If you would like to learn more about Essex Police initiatives or to discuss crime that is affecting you then simply turn up on the evening.
All members of the public are welcome.
