SOUTHEND Council has announced Priory Park will once again play host to the much-loved annual season of Music in the Park.

Both local residents and visitors from far and wide will be able to enjoy performances from a variety of talented artists. The performers can all be seen at the Southend bandstand every Saturday and Sunday, throughout the summer from 3pmto 5pm, and all completely free.

This year’s artists include The Heroes Band - raising money for Help for Heroes, Rayleigh Brass, the Gaudeamus Chamber Choir, the Dave Warren Jazz Quartet and many more.

Ann Holland, councillor responsible for culture, tourism and the economy said: “We are delighted to continually provide opportunities for talented local musicians to perform in one of our towns beautiful parks.

“We look forward to this event every year, as both residents and visitors can come together to enjoy great music in a fantastic setting.”
