A woman had to be rescued by the fire service after falling 12ft down a trench.
Two fire engines were called to Dry Street, Langdon Hills, at 8pm on Friday.
Firefighters were assisted by USAR (Urban Search and Rescue) technicians who have specialist rescue equipment for these types of rescues.
The woman was placed on the stretcher and the crews used ropes to lift her to safety.
The casualty was rescued by 10.15pm and left in the care of the Ambulance Service.
