Two men from Basildon will take on the world’s fastest zip line this month to raise funds for Cancer Research.
C2C workers Brian Askew, 48, and Lee Leverett, 26, will tackle Zip World’s “Velocity” in Snowdonia National Park.
They’re raising funds after their work colleague, Leon Dyer, who was diagnosed with bowel cancer earlier this year.
Brian said: “It was something we planned to do, so we thought why not do it for charity.
“The goal was to raise £500 but we’re just over that already so I wouldn’t mind if we reached £1,000 or maybe even more.”
The pair will be taking on the zip wire on Saturday, August 12.
