Despite the poor weather conditions visitors were not deterred from spending days out at Maize Maze in Basildon.
The Maize Maze is a traditional maze featuring fun and educational facts about corn, and how corn is grown and harvested.
Families stepped up to the challenge of navigating their way out of the maze.
The maize gained full height on July 22, with some parts of the maze growing over seven feet tall.
Free popcorn is given to challengers who find their way out of the obstacle.
Children were also treated with fun activities such as football, hula hooping, space hoppers, a giant Connect 4 game and an obstacle course.
Families can also learn about agricultural life at the potato and sunflower patch where visitors can pick their greens and take them home.
The fun continues in October when Maize Maze will run a pumpkin patch.
The maze challenge will finish on Monday, August 28.
Admission costs £6 and family tickets are £20.
