The Guide Dogs for the Blind training team have visited Southend Airport for the second time.

Four guide dog puppies and their handlers went through security, before visiting the departures lounge and the baggage reclaim area. The visit is to help the puppies get used to the busier, noisier environments.

Puppy training supervisor Jo Thorn said: “We are so grateful to the airport for allowing us to do this, the visits are amazing for the puppies in helping them learn self-control and all the other vital skills they need.”

Airport chief executive Glyn Jones said: “The Guide Dogs for the Blind do fantastic work, when they contacted us asking if we could help, we were pleased to get involved.”
