AN open top London Routemaster bus will be coming to Southend to treat families to a fantastic experience this weekend.
To celebrate the end of its first year in operation, the London Routemaster will be travelling across various areas in Southend.
The bus will be running throughout the day from Leigh through Chalkwell, Westcliff and Southend Pier. It will then be turning round at the end of its route at The Kursaal.
Passengers on the classic London bus will be treated to various sights throughout the journey with traditional bus conductors.
Fantastic views of the promenade and the Estuary are just a couple of highlights that will be on offer.
The open top bus will be making the journey on Saturday, September 2.
Tickets for adults will cost £4 and it will cost £2 for children.
Alternatively, a group of five people for a day ticket will cost £10.
A spokesman from Go Ahead London, the company behind the bus, said: “We are very pleased to have contributed to Southend’s successful summer season with our service.”
