A youngster who loves recycling got the chance to see where the rubbish goes.

Jensen Stoffell, three, from Leigh, loves nothing more than helping his mum, Samantha sort the family’s recycling.

Samantha got in touch with Veolia to see if they might be able to help out with a special treat.

Veolia provide waste and recycling services on behalf of Southend Council in the borough, collecting kerbside recycling and residual waste from residents.

Samantha said “He loves learning about things so it was great for him to see where the rubbish goes and learn that a big scooper loads it all in to a lorry to take to the landfill.

“He was also extremely impressed with his bin lorry toy as well.”
