Motorcycle football, (yes, you did read that right, that is 'football' the game, played by people on motorcycles), stunt shows, hovercraft rides, helicopter rides, donkey rides, a racing simulator, famous YouTubers and of course cars, cars and more cars will be just some of the attractions brimming over at the German Auto Collective and Family Fun Weekender coming up this Saturday and Sunday.

Hosted by the Essex Motor Show the big weekender "aimed at aged two until 102!" is on Saturday September 16 - Sunday September 17, across 60 acres at the Orsett Showground, with camping tickets available for those who want to get the most out of the event.

And who could blame them with so much going on?

The German Auto Collective is probably the biggest German enthusiast’s event in Essex and will be bring together some of the best VW, Audi, Seat and Skoda, new Mini, BMW, Mercedes and Porsche cars from across the UK and Europe.

The organisers say, although the show is mainly a German scene motor car show, it offers a warm welcome to Rods, Customs, Yanks, and Classics and "modern anything interesting on wheels".

All automobiles are invited to take part in the Show and Shine competition, with trophies up for grabs and extra prizes. You just need to register via essexmotorshow.co.uk. There are also various other contests such as Best in Show, Best Van, Best Classic Automobile and more.

Entry for all show vehicles is free.

For the film buff there will be a Movie Cars Display, including some of Hollywood's most iconic automobiles, including Herbie!

But it's not all about cars. Little Dubbers is a fun arena, especially for the kids, which will have a bouncy castle village, fun fair rides, face painting, kids' entertainers, a racing car simulator and more.

The Tasty is a food fair, full of quality food from vintage tea rooms to sumptuous street food, with drinks also on offer from bars and stands.

The shopaholic of the family can always nip off to have a bit of retail therapy via the plethora of traders on site, selling anything from vintage clothes to wheels and tyres and wax polish.

Well-known YouTuber Boosted will be making an appearance on the Sunday. If you're not up on YouTubers, he is a British automotive enthusiast with "an abnormal love for everything to do with cars".

On his YouTube channel you’ll see him filming cars, driving cars, building cars and breaking cars!

With over 300 videos, 110.000 subscribers and 13m views, you could say he is one to watch.

James Martin is one of the directors of the Essex Motor Show.

"This is the last event we will be doing of this season, and a chance for everyone to come and have a great day out or great weekend, before it gets too cold!
