Wat Tyler Park will be opening its gates on Saturday, September 23 to hundreds of Superheroes for a brand new 5K inflatable fun run sponsored by Tangent International – called ‘KAPOW!’ in aid of Havens Hospices.
‘KAPOW!’ is an inflatable Superhero-themed assault course consisting of ten inflatable obstacles including a bubble tunnel, foam maze and Big Bertha - a giant slide - set over 5km.
One of the Havens Heroes taking part in the event is Lee Allen, 50, from Canvey, who will be joined by his two daughters - Lauren, 22 and Charlotte, 18.
Mr Allen is running in memory of friend and cricket team-mate Bryan Silver, who received care at Fair Havens Hospice in 2009.
Online registration closes on Wednesday. Register at havenshospices.org.uk/Kapow Registration on the day will run from 9.30am until 1.45pm.
