FANS of cars and motorbikes flocked to a motoring show in South Essex.

The Essex Motor Show Big Family Weekender event has become a new and welcome addition to the Orsett Showground, off Rectory Road in Orsett.

Hundreds of people attended the event, which was held on Saturday and Sunday.

There was plenty of entertainment for all the family, including stunt shows, a car show, inflatables, an outdoor cinema, motorbike football, camping, live music, fire engines, food, hovercraft rides, helicopter rides and much more.

The event was organised by James Martin and Karl Rushman, who have held events all over Essex.

Mr Martin said the event was a huge success.

He said: “This was our fourth event this year and our end of season show.

“The weather was a bit changeable but September weather can be difficult as you never know if it will be hot or wet or cold.

“We had some rain but some sun as well.

“The feedback from people who attended the event has been phenomenal.

“This was a brand new show so it was all new – we wanted to bring in more air crafts as part of the event.

“We also has an outdoor cinema for the visitors and guests to enjoy- we watched one of the Fast and Furious films and it was great.”
