THE MATCH: East Thurrock United are unlikely to have such an easy time of it against Truro City tomorrow.

Rocks won the two fixtures by a combined score of 11-1 last season, although Tom Wraight - scorer of seven goals across the two clashes - has moved on to pastures new.

Truro are currently joint second in the National League South, with only goal difference placing them above East Thurrock, who have played one game fewer.

However, Truro have already suffered three defeats this season - to East Thurrock’s zero - albeit they are now on a six-match winning streak.

THE INSIGHT: “If you have a squad that failed, you change the squad and that is what Truro’s manager (Lee Hodges) did,” said Coventry.

“I think he brought in about 10 players and that has played a big role in why they have been so good. Their results have proved that and, although the style of play comes into it, it comes down to the quality of the players.

“I believe Truro have their own coach so they don’t need to stay overnight and, as the season goes on, that must get wearing. But at this stage they are doing well and I don’t expect it to affect them.

“In my mind there is no reason we can’t maintain our form. It is up to the players. If they believe we can keep going why can’t we?

“I don’t look at any team and think ‘oh, we won’t get anything there’. We have won at Chelmsford and Dartford and it doesn’t get much more difficult than that. When we get beat will be the true test.”

THE TEAM NEWS: Midfielder Ben Marlow is expected to return.
