An investigation is under way following an assault in Chelmsford where a woman was stabbed in the stomach.
Essex Police has released an efit image of a man they want to speak to in connection with the incident which happened on Thursday September 14
A woman in her 40s was walking through an alley between Well Lane and Home Mead, near Watchouse Road, at around 9am, when a man approached her from behind and grabbed her.
The woman sustained a wound to her stomach and it is believed the man had a knife.
The man threatened the woman before riding off on a bicycle.
