PLAYERS from Billericay Football Club supported National Eye Health Week with a visit to an opticians in the town.
Jamie O’Hara, Rob Swaine and Ricky Modeste all visited Specsavers in Billericay High Street to have their eyes tested in support of the week.
Joining them were Billericay Town FC fitness instructor and former WWE wrestler, Neil ‘Goliath’ Grove, the team’ physiotherapist, Kevin Head and the kit man, Nigel Howe.
David Farnham, a director of Specsavers, said: “It was great to have the lads in the store and give them all a check-up.
“We do not want anything to hold back our boys from taking that trophy next season.”
The branch encourages more people to come and have the test after their research found that around a quarter of Essex’s population have not been tested in the past two years.
