YOUTH FOOTBALL: Grays under-10s made it back-to-back wins in their first ever season playing futsal with a 5-1 win against Brentwood.
Having beaten Hutton 4-2, Grays were impressive in the early exchanges and took the lead when Aidan Devoy beat the full back on the right wing and buried a blistering shot into the far corner.
Shortly before half-time, following a handball in the area by Brentwood, Grays were awarded a penalty which was duly despatched by S J Bassey.
Grays started the second half strongly and went 3-0 up when Samuel Adeoye broke through the Brentwood defence and tucked the ball away neatly in the bottom corner.
Shortly after Roman Scicluna followed in a shot that the keeper spilled, burying the rebound.
Although Brentwood scored arguably the goal of the match with a a superb lob over the keeper to make it 4-1.
In the dying minutes, Justice Maduforo fired a shot past the keeper as the match ended 5-1.
