Canvey Island moved to the top of the Isthmian North standings after securing a 6-2 win in an entertaining clash at Tilbury.
Sam Collins gave the Gulls an early lead, but Ryan Melaugh got the Dockers back on level terms.
Mitchell Gilbey restored Canvey’s advantage two minutes later, only for Adam Vyse to equalise just before the break.
But Danny Heale’s side proved too strong in the second half as Gilbey doubled his tally six minutes after the interval.
Elliott Warren then bagged his first goal for the club to extend the Gulls’ lead, before Ryan Charles added his name to the scoresheet and Collins wrapped up the scoring with a goal from his own half.
Bowers & Pitsea bounced back from defeat on Saturday with a narrow 1-0 win at Witham Town.
Martyn Stokes hit the bar for Bowers, who went ahead on the hour mark.
Ben Sartain profited from good work by David Knight to score, before a freak goal doubled the lead.
James Thomas’ cross beat everyone and nestled inside the far corner.
