A man has been charged with murder following the death of Dean Jose in Brentwood.
Nathan Turner, 23, of Myrtle Road, Brentwood, was charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent following the alleged incident in Kings Road, Brentwood at 12.45am on Monday August 28.
Following the incident, 47-year-old Dean Jose suffered head injuries and sadly died on Saturday September 2.
Turner appeared at Basildon Crown Court today, Friday October 6, where, following a decision by the CPS, the charge of GBH with intent was amended to murder.
He pleaded not guilty and was remanded in custody. He will next appear at Chelmsford Crown Court for a case management hearing in the week commencing October 23.
An exact date has not yet been set.
