JUDD Trump will look to retain his European Masters title in Lommel when he takes on Stuart Bingham in Sunday's final.

The world number four coasted past China's Cao Yupeng with a 6-1 victory in Saturday's first semi-final.

The Vange based Bingham had knocked out world champion Mark Selby in the quarter-finals, and had to dig deep to see off 19-year-old Zhou Yuelong 6-4 in the late match.

Trump had lost the opening frame, but soon recovered and built momentum with a century break as he moved 2-1 ahead before further clearances of 87 and then 115 put him on the brink of victory over the Romford-based world number 77 Bingham, though, had to work much harder for his place in the final.

After starting with a clearance of 84, Bingham, the 2015 world champion, soon found himself trailing after Zhou - who had whitewashed Anthony McGill in the last round - produced a break of 101 to lead 2-1 and again at 4-3.

The world number 11, however, stuck to his task and clawed the deficit back to take frame eight with a run of 68 before going on to close out a hard-earned victory.
