Travellers have set up camp on a park in a Chafford Hundred residential area.
Two caravans, a pick-up truck and a car are currently on the plot of green on the junction of Rainbow Road and Felipe Road and have been there since yesterday evening, October 10.
One resident, who asked not be named, said: "They arrived here last night.
"I left it until the morning and then I called the council who told me they were aware of the situation.
"But something needs to be done about it really. We had this only the other week in Lakeside car park.
"I can't just park my car up on the park so why can they just park their caravans and pick-up trucks on there?"
Thurrock Council are aware of the encampment and have reported it to the Essex Countywide Travellers Unit.
They have reiterated that "action will be taken to remove any unauthorised traveller encampment on land in Thurrock."
