l THE MATCH: It is second against third in the Isthmian North as Bowers & Pitsea bid to end AFC Hornchurch’s unbeaten start to the season.

Bowers, fresh from a 4-1 win at Dereham Town in the FA Trophy, head to the Urchins looking to replicate their form against them from last season.

Rob Small’s team were 4-1 winners at the Hornchurch Arena at the end of last term, having completed the double over them in their first season since promotion.

The departure of Brad Warner - last season’s top scorer - to Hornchurch in the summer has made the clash even tastier.

Hornchurch remain favourites to win the division, having played three games less than Bowers due to their cup commitments, but tomorrow is sure to throw up another exciting encounter.

l THE INSIGHT: “I have a headache as we took 13 players to Dereham and they did great,” said Small. “I had players injured or suspended that are big players and are likely to be available.

“So do we stick or twist? In terms of the opponent, this is as tough as it gets.

“It may sound like I’m playing mind games but they have the best squad and have to win the league with that team.

“I would like to keep Brad off the scoresheet but he did well for us and he is still thought of very fondly, so there is no added agenda. He will want to score and our players will want to stop that happening. But if we win 3-2, and he scores two, I will be happy with that.”

l THE TEAM NEWS: Lewis Manor and Callum Leahy are back from injury and suspension respectively.
