Detectives have made a further arrest in connection with the murder of Daniel Adger.
Mr Adger, 34, died after suffering machete injuries in Eden Green in South Ockendon on August 21.
Connal Cocker-Dawkins, 20, a sports steward, of Denmark Street, Plaistow, was arrested yesterday, Thursday October 12.
Following arrest, he has been charged with conspiracy to murder and conspiracy to supply cocaine.
Cocker-Dawkins appeared at Basildon Magistrates’ Court on Friday October 13.
Tall and slim, he was dressed in custody clothing - a red jumper - and was sporting a short afro in the courtroom.
The defendant spoke only to confirm his name and his address.
Two men have been charged with the murder of Daniel Adger.
These men are Lee Dowman, 50, of Lytton Road, Grays, and Zakaria Lahrar, 19, of Upminster.
Cocker-Dawkins will appear alongside his co-defendants at Basildon Crown Court on October 31 where they are expected to enter pleas.
He has been remanded in custody.
Five other people were arrested in connection with the attack but have all been released under investigation.
