MORE than 30 Cub Scouts set out on a charity ramble despite the cold blustery weather.
Cubs Scouts from across Crouch Valley’s 14 Scout Groups, supported by their families and pet dogs, set off from Southchurch Park, Southend, all in aid of this year’s BBC’s Children In Need Ramble.
Sadly as they all set off, the rain started to come down, though in true Scouting traditions, this didn’t dampen the Cub Scouts spirits, as they bravely rambled on.
The Cub Scouts and family members were treated to drinks and chocolates, all grateful for the short respite.
Whilst walking, the group were given a number of donations, swelling the total money raised to over £500, all towards the Children In Need Charity.
