A church is South Ockendon has appointed a new Pastor to serve the local community.
Julian Rogers has taken up the new roles Belhus Park Chapel Evangelical Church.
Julian, 47, resides in South Ockendon with his wife Joanne and teenage family.
They gathered with more than 120 friends and members of the fellowship to witness the induction which was held on September 23.
The service was led by Rev Dr Robert Winston, a previous Pastor at the church and the address was given by Pastor Maurice Titmarsh from Walthamstow.
Julian, who has been a member and Deacon of the church for many years, said: “I am looking forward to sharing the good news about Jesus Christ with the people of South Ockendon.
"We all need reminding that God offers us forgiveness and hope through the cross of his son. That’s what I am passionate about and that’s what I want to do.”
Originally built in 1957, Belhus Park Chapel is situated in Deveron Gardens close to the shopping centre in South Ockendon.
