Stan Wall, the 90-year-old man known to many around Thurrock as a keen cyclist who has raised hundreds of thousands of pounds for charity, has become a Pride of Britain finalist.
We reported recently of how Stan had been entered into the Pride of Britain awards and the charitable pensioner from Chadwell St Mary has made it to the finals.
Most recently, Stan did a marathon on his bicycle and raised £26,000 for Help the Heroes.
A widower, Stan has also raised tens of thousands of pounds for St Luke's Hospice - where his late wife died.
Now Stan's achievements have been recognised and he will be appearing at the Pride of Britain awards ceremony on October 31 as a finalist for the Pride of Britain London category.
