Billericay's Street Pastors enjoyed a trip to the Houses of Parliament to visit an MP.
A group of the volunteers were thrilled to go to London to see Billericay MP John Baron.
Street pastor Phil Norton said: “John Baron invited us up.
“He often invites different groups up to the House of Parliament.
“We had a tour of the House of Lords and of the House of Commons.
“We also went to John Baron’s offices and he spoke to us for about half an hour about local issues.
“He has always been very pleased and supportive of the work we have done.
“He took a lot of time out to talk to us.”
The Street Pastors are Christian volunteers from local churches who provide non-judgemental care and support to people in Billericay town centre on Friday and Saturday nights.
