A TEENAGER has picked up an impressive three awards at a major national magician competition this weekend.
Ryan Jackson, 15, was performing at the Magic Circle’s J-Day competition in London where he made the finals of both the close up category and the stage category - the first person ever to do so in the competition’s history.
He came back home to Billericay having won both classes and picked up third in the organisation’s Young Magician of the Year.
Ryan, who attends Mayflower High School in Billericay, said: “I had an incredible weekend performing at the J-Day competition.
“Thank you to everyone who made this weekend possible.”
He is currently finishing his GCSEs at school but hopes to continue doing magic after he finishes his studies.
