Train operator c2c is offering free travel to service personnel and veterans on Remembrance Sunday and is commemorating the day with a special train mural.

c2c is offering the free travel on Sunday to service personnel travelling in uniform or with valid ID, and to veterans who are wearing their medals.

The train company has also linked up with Maple Grove Primary School in Pitsea, with pupils designing a special mural commemorating remembrance, with the design applied to front a train.

c2c managing director Julian Drury said: “We have offered free travel to service personnel and veterans to mark Remembrance Sunday as our way of paying tribute.”

Last week c2c passengers donated more than £15,000 to the Royal British Legion at Fenchurch Street station on London Poppy Day.
