Revellers packed into Hullbridge for the town’s Christmas lights switch-on.
Hullbridge was illuminated with twinkling lights which filled the night sky at the popular annual event hosted by BBC Essex.
Santa arrived to greet the crowds in a white horse-drawn carriage and there was festive fun for all ages throughout the evening.
Live entertainment, an animal farm, children’s rides and a climbing wall were all on offer.
Children had the chance to meet Father Christmas in his grotto to tell him what was on their wish list, thanks to Hullbridge Community Association.
The annual Christmas fayre was held at Pooles Lane car park on Saturday. This year’s Hullbridge Parish Council Chairman’s Christmas card competition winner was Sienna Hall.
The family-friendly event was organised by Hullbridge Parish Council.
