Thousands of people turned out for the Christmas lights switch-on in Rochford at the weekend.
Organised by Rochford Parish Council and the Chamber of Trade, the event was jam packed with something to do for everyone and a whole afternoon of entertainment.
A Christmas market took place in Back Lane where there were charity stalls and commercial stalls selling a whole host festive treats.
The day also featured a snow machine as well a stage where Heart Radio’s Martin and Su hosted a number of performances.
Rochford and Southend East MP James Duddridge was also in attendance with Rochford District Council Chair Lesley Butcher
Arthur Williams, chairman of Rochford Parish Council, said: “It was an absolutely fantastic day.
“We had about 3,000 people come out for it which is more than last year.
“There was a great family atmosphere and the day was enjoyed by everyone.
“We would like to thank everyone involved with a particular thanks to Kim Parker who helped us organise the whole event.”
