church is set to host another popular Christingle event later this month.

Billericay Methodist Church in Western Road will be holding two Christingle services on Saturday December 23.

The first service will take place from 2.30pm – 3.15pm and the second from 4pm – 4.45pm and both will feature opportunity for the whole family to dress up as characters from the nativity and have photographs taken in the church’s improvised stable.

A Christingle service is a special service for the season with particular appeal for families with young children. It combines the singing of carols, the nativity story and the lighting of candles, as well as the making of symbolic Christingles - oranges decorated with red tape, sweets and a candle.
