Officers have executed drug warrants in two locations where they found Class A drugs.

Southend Community Policing Team and the Force Support Unit acted on information from the public and executed a warrant at an address in Surbiton Road on Wednesday December 13.

After our Force Support Unit forced entry to the property, the team searched the address. They seized suspected drugs, which will be forensically tested, and drug paraphernalia.

A man has been voluntarily interviewed under suspicion of possession of a Class A substance and enquiries are ongoing.

Acting Sgt David Gardiner, from Southend Community Policing Team, said: “This activity was part of our ongoing efforts to tackle crime.

“We will always act on information given to us and urge members of the public that have any information about drug offences in their area to call us.”

A video of the warrant can be found on our Facebook page and Twitter account.

A second warrant was executed at an address on Southchurch Road. No arrests were made. These warrants are part of our ongoing efforts to tackle crime.
