Essex police have named the man who died in a crash at a roundabout in South Benfleet.

Police confirmed that Florin Saghin, 36, of Gravesend, Kent, sadly died following a crash at the junction of the A1245 and A130 on Sunday December 10.

The incident involving two vehicles happened at around 12.15am on Sunday.

Mr Saghin died at the scene of the crash as a result of his injuries.

A 35-year-old man, from Rayleigh, was arrested at around 1.30am that night on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

The man was taken into custody for questioning, but he has since been released under investigation.

Police are still appealing for witnesses following the incident that caused Mr Saghin's death.
