Foundation Art and Design students at Seevic College, Benfleet, auctioned off their work this week to raise money for their end of year show.
More than 60 friends, parents, guardians and staff turned out to support the students who had just four weeks from start to finish to research, design and make an auction piece.
The pieces were one of kind decorative arts including original art pieces, sculptures, furniture and fashion.
Jack Davidson, 18 from Rayleigh, who participated in the project and who was auctioneer for the evening said: “I feel that it was a great experience to not only auction off my own work, but my peers’ work as well.”
The auction raised just over £400 which will go towards the promotion and exhibition of the students’ end of year art show.
